At the quarterly meeting on March 12, 2021, we learned about:

• The Deliberative Dialogue process that will be used at the April 13 and June 22 meetings

• The bystander CPR survey that is about to be released by the Community Engagement team

• Legislation that is currently working its way through Congress (HR 1193, Cardiovascular Advances in Research and Opportunities Legacy - CAROL - introduced by Kentucky Congressman Andy Barr in honor of his wife who died of sudden cardiac arrest last year).

Reminders were made about:

• The Heart Safe Schools application for the State of Michigan is due on May 15. Information and application materials can be found here.

• The SaveMIHeart webinar will be on Thursday, May 6, 2021. The topic will be: Future Strategies to Improve OHCA
